Niagara Rural Fire Protection District

Meeting was called to order at 19:07 by Deputy Chief Kollman. Members in attendance were Ryan, Tonya, Kevin, Josh, Mikey, Pat, Brandon, and Tim.  Also present was Mayor Laurel Nabben.

Minutes were read from February Meeting.  Motion by Josh, second by Brandon to approve as read.  Motion Carried.

Old Business

Reflective Vests- Been a mandate since 2008 to wear them on the any Federally Funded Highway.  Ryan picked up 5.  2 are in the pumper and 3 are in Rescue.

Trucks.  Rescue beacon needs to be fixed.  Tim fixed the starter.  Pumper lights and plate.  Tanker lid and drop tank.

New Buisness

As of February 28th, 2011 Greg stepped down as Chief and Sec/Tres of the district.  Until the Annual meeting Ryan will take over the Sec/Tres position and Kevin will be acting Chief.  He will appoint officers as he sees fit.

Fire school.  Ryan, Tim, and Josh went.  They had a good time.  On a motion by Brandon, 2nd by Tim, next year in order to go to Fire school the members must make 6 meeting and 3 trainings.  The member will also pay a 40 dollar deposit to cover the cost of registering for class.  If the member goes they will be refunded the 40 dollars.  Motion carried.

Annual Meeting is on March 14th.  All members should attend.   Tonya and Tim will do the cooking. Ryan will pick up the food.  Letters were sent out to numerous people in the district to try get them to attend.

High-Vis signs-Tabled until board meeting.

Building sign.-Graphics to much.  Brandon will talk to Dakota Laser about cutting metal letters. 

Pipeline safety class will be April 4, 2011 at the Canad Inn.  Tim, Kevin, Ryan said they would go.
